Editable pack
Warehouse interview questions are usually practical: can you turn up, work safely, keep a steady pace with accuracy, and get on with a team? This free pack helps you prepare for exactly that. It covers fourteen common questions with answer prompts, three short story worksheets, a practical task checklist, questions to ask, and a thank-you note.
What interviewers want to know
Hiring managers for physical, shift-based roles often have many applicants and little time. They want to hear that you are reliable, that you take safety seriously, and that you can do repetitive work accurately. They also want honest answers about your availability and your experience, so overpromising can hurt you more than a gap.
What the pack includes
- Know the job: a short table to note the site, shifts, tasks and tickets before you go.
- Fourteen common questions: what the interviewer is checking, a tip, and space for your notes.
- Gaps and no experience: simple ways to talk about gaps, leaving a job, or starting out.
- Three STAR story sheets: safety, teamwork and reliability.
- Practical task prep: a checklist for pick lists, safe lifting and equipment.
- Questions to ask, day-before checklist and a thank-you message template.
How to use it
Work through the pack a few days before the interview, writing in your own words rather than memorising a script. Practise saying your answers aloud so each one takes under a minute. Use the day-before checklist the night before, and the follow-up log straight after.
If you need a stronger application first, start with the free CV templates and the warehouse cover letter kit. The first day on site checklist helps once you have the job.
Applying through Chandler Personnel
Chandler's candidate FAQ says only suitable candidates are contacted because of high application numbers, and that consultants try to reach eligible candidates within 1 to 3 days. Send your details through the submit your CV page and see the job board for current roles.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear to a warehouse interview?
Clean, practical clothing and closed-in footwear. If a practical task is part of the interview, ask beforehand what to wear and whether safety gear is supplied.
What do I say if I have no warehouse experience?
Point to similar tasks such as manual handling, hospitality, farm work or cleaning, and show you are reliable and quick to learn. Be honest about what you have not done yet.
Should I mention my licences and tickets?
Yes, if they are current, and bring the originals. Never claim a licence or ticket you do not hold, because employers and agencies check them.
Is it all right to ask about pay and shifts?
Yes. Ask about the shift pattern, breaks, how shift changes are communicated, and when you will hear back. Questions about the work itself show you are serious.
What if I get nervous?
Preparation helps. Practise your three stories aloud, arrive early, and take a moment before each answer. Short, honest answers work better than long ones.
