Editable checklist
Starting a new site through an agency can feel rushed. This free first day at work checklist walks you through what to confirm before you travel, how to check in, what a proper induction should cover, and what to do if something is unclear once you are on the floor.
What a good first shift looks like
A host site should walk you through hazards, safe work steps and who to ask when something is unclear. PPE and entry requirements are different from site to site, so confirm them with your consultant rather than guessing from a previous placement.
If something does not match what you were told
Raise it with your Chandler Personnel consultant or the host supervisor straight away. SafeWork NSW’s host employer guidance describes what a proper workplace induction should cover, including hazard reporting.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I bring on my first day?
Ask your consultant or the site contact. PPE and ID requirements differ by site and role.
What if nobody meets me when I arrive?
Call your consultant first, then the site contact number you were given. Do not start work until you have checked in.
What counts as an induction?
A proper induction explains the hazards for your task, how to work safely, and how to report problems. If you were only told the steps without being shown, ask for more.
Who do I tell if the task changes during the shift?
Tell your supervisor on site and let your consultant know afterward, especially if the new task is outside what you expected.
