Editable pack
A shift handover template for a warehouse should make unfinished work visible to the next lead. The companion timesheet form should also show what the site observed, what changed from the roster and who resolved a disputed entry.
Two forms for the same shift
The handover identifies site and leads, then records hazards, production status, crew coverage, equipment issues and open actions with outgoing and incoming sign-offs. Use asset or incident references instead of copying sensitive details into a shared form.
A clear approval trail
The timesheet captures one worker and shift per row, scheduled versus actual start and finish, unpaid break details, claimed paid hours and supporting references. A second table follows queries from host decision to agency confirmation and payroll handoff. Fair Work says employers must keep accurate time and wages records for seven years. This operational form helps reconciliation but does not replace those records. Source: Fair Work record-keeping guidance

Frequently Asked Questions
Who completes the handover?
The outgoing lead records status and exceptions; the incoming lead acknowledges what was received and owns unresolved actions.
Is host sign-off the final payroll record?
No. The legal employer remains responsible for its required employment records; send approved details and corrections to the agency payroll contact.
What if the roster and actual hours differ?
Record the variance, reason, evidence and decision. Do not silently overwrite the original entry.
Should breaks be entered?
Record actual break timing or duration and flag a missed or disputed break for review against applicable rules.
