Our client is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor to lead their maintenance team within a busy food manufacturing and production facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys leading from the front, supporting a skilled maintenance team and driving equipment reliability across a fast-paced production environment.

Previous food manufacturing experience is not essential. However, applicants must have previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production facility.

A strong industrial electrical background is highly regarded. However, experienced Mechanical Fitters or Maintenance Tradespeople with proven leadership experience and sound industrial electrical knowledge are also encouraged to apply.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising the maintenance of production machinery and plant equipment within a busy manufacturing facility.

Working closely with Production and the Maintenance team, you'll coordinate preventative and breakdown maintenance activities, provide technical leadership, minimise equipment downtime and help ensure the safe and efficient operation of the site.

This role is specifically suited to candidates with experience within manufacturing and production environments. It is not a facilities or building maintenance position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the site's maintenance team
• Coordinate preventative and breakdown maintenance of production machinery and plant equipment
• Plan and prioritise daily maintenance activities
• Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance personnel
• Assist with complex fault finding and equipment issues where required
• Drive equipment reliability and minimise production downtime
• Work closely with Production to maximise plant performance
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety requirements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance operations
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

• Previous experience leading or supervising a maintenance team within a manufacturing or production facility
• Trade qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or a related engineering discipline (Certificate III or equivalent recognised trade qualification)
• Strong industrial electrical experience working with production machinery
• Proven experience coordinating preventative and breakdown maintenance activities
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to Workplace Health & Safety
• Ability to build positive working relationships across Production, Maintenance and Management teams
